A New Adventure

For those of you that do not yet know, I have accepted a position in Las Vegas, NV with the National Weather Service Forecast Office there. It is a very exciting time for me and Cindy both and we will try to share at least part of the journey westward in the next few weeks here. My tenure with TEMA will be winding up shortly, but has definitely been a rewarding and educational experience. The things that I have learned in the past 15 days alone have been absolutely invaluable. At some point I may share a few of the highlights of that experience here, but I want to take time to determine what would be appropriate to share with the world wide web.

In the meantime I'm examining the weather of Death Valley, the southern Great Basin, northwestern Arizona and parts of southeast California. :) As wet as we have been in Nashville lately it will be a welcome change (at least until monsoon season!)
