A Quick Update

I've heard from a few of you that noticed the posts dropped off very quickly in late August! Nothing bad has happened, in fact much the opposite. I started in mid August with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, in their Operations Division. Operations focuses on directing the state response to a multitude of emergencies across the state, which very much includes weather, and my experience and education has come in quite handy so far. I am pretty sure im in a very slim minority of people who have both called TO the state warning point from a National Weather Service office and BEEN the state warning point from the State Emergency Operations Center. Not to mention all of the other things that we do both weather related and otherwise. I've worn a lot of hats! It has been a very fun challenge so far though and it is always great to have a job that deals directly with helping others.

Anyway, with the full time (actually quite a bit more than full time) job that almost always has me working during severe weather I haven't been able to maintain this blog and just wanted to let you know why!
